Friends of James Beard Event

Join us July 18th and 19th, for a weekend devoted to celebrating Walla Walla’s unique culinary and viticulture at the James Beard: Made in Walla Walla event!

Escape to charming Walla Walla for an elite culinary and wine tasting journey during the inaugural Friends of James Beard Weekend hosted by the Marcus Whitman Hotel. Friends of James Beard Weekend takes place over July 18 and 19, and features a tour, lunch and wine tasting at the Wine Country Culinary Institute followed by an inspiring 6-course wine paired meal prepared by James Beard-recognized Chef Antonio Campolio on Friday, July 18 and lunch, wine tasting and tour at Three Rivers Winery on Saturday, July 19. The weekend devoted to celebrating Walla Walla’s unique culinary and viticulture was created as a benefit to fund scholarships for Walla Walla Community College students.

Explore the culinary and viticulture programs at the Wine Country Culinary Institute with Chef Dan Thiessen and Tim Donahue, Winemaker and Instructor at College Cellars.

JAMES BEARD 6-COURSE WINE PAIRED DINNER

Enjoy an hors d’ oeuvre and wine reception, followed by a 6-course wine paired meal prepared by James Beard-recognized Chef Antonio Campolio, The Marcus Whitman Hotel, Chef  Dan Thiessen, Wine Country Culinary Institute, and Chef Michael Kline, Walla Walla Bread Company.
